Scared Stiff Pinball Machine by Bally
Scared Stiff Pinball by Bally
Dennis Nordman created the 1996 pinball game Scared Stiff, which was published by Midway (under the Bally label) and starred Elvira, the hostess of a horror show. It is the sequel to Nordman’s Elvira and the Party Monsters from 1989.
A B-movie horror motif is present in the game. The Six Tales of Terror—Eyes of the Bony Beast, Terror From the Crate, Stiff in the Coffin, Monster’s Lab, Night of the Leapers, and Return of the Deadheads—must be completed by players in order to advance the Stiff-o-meter. A spinning spider that the player controls is part of the interactive backbox. It is employed to initiate special modes and gather distinctive attributes. The DCS Sound System is used by Scared Stiff.
